She is Me.You're distancing yourself again
But I'm afraid she won't be following you this time
She can't 'Forgive and Forget'
She'll forgive because it's the right thing to do
But the scar will remain as a reminder

She doesn't want to be with the people who hurt her
Like you did
She doesn't want to get close to those who don't trust her
Like you do
She doesn't want to be betrayed again

Stop questioning her all the time
Maybe that's the reason she doesn't speak?
Not to get close to anyone
Not to let information leak
Not to have anyone know, what she has become

She's too fragile
Very soon she may break
Yet she still searches for someone

I have secrets built up I just can not tell

Locked forever in my heart are where they will dwell

Though there are some to you I may one day share

I doubt many in the end would ever really care

Secrets about the world, philosophy, and stars

Secrets that will ignite flames in the dark

Secrets that will move oceans across lands

Secrets about God and the common man

So sometimes at night I talk to myself

Sharing feelings only I could have felt

Self-reflection helps me to heal

Because only I understand the way that I feel

We all have these secrets; some bigger than others

Some we share with friends and some with our mothers
Will you be the one that saves me?Maybe, you'll be the one that saves me
the one that takes my eyes away
from the pain I feel every day
In my body, but mostly in my mind

I hurt myself every day
With the thoughts I think
Not thinking about love
But about the possible pain

A single happy thought
Crushed by darkness
Flowing from my mind
Overwhelming it all

Be the one that saves me
Bring joy in my heart
Without the pain I feel
From my own thoughts

Will you be the one that saves me?
From my own darkened mind
Every single living day
Before I break myself down

This broken person inside
With all my dark thoughts

To the inside of my heart

To remember how it was
So I don't want to return
To the darkness ever again

Kings with gold and diamond rings

Rings that shine from eye to eye

Eyes divine like massive shrines

In this land composed of sand

Sand as smooth as silky hands

Hands design these crafty plans

Plans that have such odd demands

They call for walls made of ore

Ore taken from the core

The core of which can not be seen

Seen by those who can not dream

They call for halls made of glass

Glass cut as sharp as grass

Grass as green as those jade rings

Found on hands of kings who dream

For war to cease and peace increased

Peace leased away to nations obese

In weapons, bombs, and viole
Who We AreWho We Are.

We cant deny who we once were
                           because who we once were
                                                  made us who we are today.

We have to accept who we are today

                                                       is a product of who we once were.

No Meaning, Just FeelingNo Meaning, Just Feeling:

It's all just words across the page
You put them together in an angry rage.
You wanted to get these feelings out
But writing's not what this is about...

You're tired of expressing
How you think you feel.
You'd rather just scream
At least it's real....

No sense or logic
Just raw emotion.
Like the churning waves
Of a sleeping ocean.

Destroy the structure
Of all you say.
Take away the illusions
They get in the way...

Just say what you think
And you might go free.
But maybe this isn't how it's supposed to be...

light
slowly filling the room
a light so long never seen
a light so vibrant
a light so free

life
the beautiul miracle
a life so full
a life so peaceful
a life so light

flame
a flicker in the dark
a flame that catches
a flame that releases
a flame that warms the hearts
of those caught in the darkness

the spark
buried inside your soul
the spark of truth
the spark of talent
the spark of fear
that never let you go

a spark will ignite
to set the ballroom to flame
when you no longer want to be hidden
all will know your name

for the mask
no longer hides the shining of your soul
the mask that constrained
the mask that co

It's been my life for years
I'm just a killing machine for hire
Running and hiding seems to be the right thing to do
It was a failed tasked yet I felt relieved
That will be my last task
To start a new life will be hard
A lot of people now are looking for me
Especially my boss that I must avoid at all cost
Why must I leave it unfinished?
Why must I feel this unknown feeling towards my target?
Why does it have to be you?
It's the first time I felt alive, that I'm not just a machine anymore
Like everything and everyone matters

And seem to fill
The pond that lies
Beneath them.
Your spirit once shared a similar tree,
But the one that you inhabited
Is more than likely charcoal
Somewhere beneath our feet.

I think of the resemblances
Between you:
The green of the leaves
I sometimes see in your eyes
After the blue and the grey
Of the night time sky
Has passed.

The willow grows
From an island
Like a piece of land stranded
In this public park,
Only the geese, coots and signets
Can reach it
And will defend their territory.

The wigwam children made from branches
Around the trunk of a tree
Is homely
Though they fear to sleep there.
AloneI dim the lights,
And turn on the TV,
Even though I'm not watching I leave it on,
It's the news, seems like another fight,
Why's the world so violent?

I take my time going to sleep,
I close my eyes,
I see someone's face,
I think I recognize her,
But I can't remember her name,
Who is she?
With eyes like that it must be a sign,
But I brush it aside,
Even in my fantasies,
I'm afraid.
I'm afraid of showing my feelings inside.

What's wrong with me?
My life isn't that bad…

I remember it
As if it was just last night
Our surroundings were lit
Illuminated by the surfaces covered in white

The way you smiled
It gave me comfort inside
And my heart seemed to be veiled
Knowing you have become a part of my life

I stopped blinking
As   we   tread
I ceased breathing
Chills   were   sent
Our hands touching
Our   lips   met

Gazing at you is a must
You curiously peered up
As snowflakes danced down towards us
And it dawned on me that I was madly in love

Mesmerizing   my   soul
Spreading a calming warmth
Into   my   core
I held you in my arms

All of the struggles I had to endure
I always desperately held on
It was a day after day ritual
Learning to stay strong

Different advice from the wise
I had to fuse it all together
And make sense of every voice
I couldn't allow my hope to wither

It's what makes you whole
It defines who you really are

Envision the dreams
As if they're real
Remember where you've been
Know that every wound will heal

It's hard to believe
Some of us still have our humanity
But there are those who still cannot see

The damaged moralities
That was bestowed from corrupted creed
You don't know the heavy burden that each of us carries

Told that the way I am is wrong
I was taught to fear the real me!

Learning to hate differentiality
Hearing whispers all around
I despised my own identity
Things need to change now!

Believing In Soulmates

You are not an illusion
Nor are you a mere reflection
Though I can't explain what I'm feeling
I just know that you make me want to start believing

Dreaming inside of a fairytale
The reason to smile

Fantasizing within a dream
The reason to believe

Maybe those so-called miracles are truly real
The love stories do have their sequels

Though it's near impossible to try and get rid of this doubt
But I know that I will eventually succeed, because you're here now
Just when I thought I was lost, you came around, then I realized I was found
-
You have to be the other side
The missing piece that fits just right
So let this love intertwine, as our eyes unite
Because our hearts have been in halves through out our lives

The calm after a loud silence
A long awaited balance

The lone star that glows in the darkness
A bright light to shine for the ages

The one and only warm fire on a world of ice
A longing peaceful paradise

I want you to know that I do look forward to the rest of this life
Because being with you, I just know that everything will always be alright
But if I were to really believe in soulmates, I would swear that you were mine

The ending for this piece holds a lot of significance to it. This whole poem, and the ending, it's all based on something that has happened. Sad to say it's all true, but, now it's another memory. I still love it though.

Yeah I understand most of my writing is true as well. I find experience and a lot of emotion make the best poetry. Especially if you have a few people that can relate to it. Keep it going I look forward to your next piece :)
