Pent-up
Overly repressed
Dripping with blame

Thoughts erupt
Pain expressed
Drowning from hate

I felt...

I always wait for the right moment
To finally break down

I need the pain to flow perfect
To let it all out

I'm reaching for my tainted core / I won't let you corrupt me anymore
You will not be a part of me / This is not how it's going to be

I always wait for the oncoming storm
That's the only time

Endure it all until the promised calm
Just to call it mine

Set free
Sorrows shattered
I am myself again

Grief released
Clouds scatter
It's gone

Right hand of destruction
Left hand of creation

It's a never ending cycle
A fatal revival caught in a downward spiral

I tear down reality’s mask
As I build up a truth to give hope a chance

The veiled darkness decays
The guiding light fades

I let go of an old pain
As new tears wash it away

The sun always rises
The moon always sets

The rain subsides
The storm is put to rest

Clouds confide / Memories detest
Skies collide / Cries confessed

Light shines / Dark regrets
Pain hides / Peace professed

A new day awaits
An old night forgotten

Tomorrow I shall awake
To cradle what remains unbroken

In my sundered reflection

The line of desperation

I sense something sinister
Something that is beyond cruel

My tears seem to hinder
Ready to break down soon

The darkness is always waiting

To return / To overpower

The shadows are always lurking

As I fall / As I grieve

The blinding fear is consuming

My anxiety-infected veins pour
I'm beyond weak

I don't want to be afraid anymore

This is the only way out
A perfect exit for a coward

No longer am I bound

I remember it
As if it was just last night
Our surroundings were lit
Illuminated by the surfaces covered in white

The way you smiled
It gave me comfort inside
And my heart seemed to be veiled
Knowing you have become a part of my life

I stopped blinking
As   we   tread
I ceased breathing
Chills   were   sent
Our hands touching
Our   lips   met

Gazing at you is a must
You curiously peered up
As snowflakes danced down towards us
And it dawned on me that I was madly in love

Mesmerizing   my   soul
Spreading a calming warmth
Into   my   core
I held you in my arms
I   felt   whole
Connected our hearts
Alone

An arm is missing, it can't
See, it's gay.

I feel like the luckiest
Girl in the world.  A feeling
I’ve never experienced.

Everything is happening so
Fast, but finally its all out,
I can finally be 100% me.

I finally accepted the fact
That I’m  Polyamory.  I came
Out to the people that I love
I found out one of them is also
A poly, the other one doesn’t mind
My lifestyle as long as I am happy.

I have two of the best guys
That both love me with all
Their heart, I love them both
Equally. I finally feel complete
Being out in every way, possible,
With them at my side’s.  Now I
Just have to tell my parents.

I see through the cracks
Into my fallen reality

I put up a poor act
My transparent sanity

Prologue: The Day The Rains Came For Me

I had a feeling that it was going to rain soon. Oh how I wish to get caught up in it. I don't have an umbrella, and my coat doesn't have a hood. The desire to become drenched lingered, because I haven't gotten drenched in such a long time. I love the sound it makes when it hits every surface. The clings and clangs were a joy of mine. I secretly love it when my hair gets wet- or ruined. Especially when my bangs droop down into my eyes. I indulge in the sensation of when the water streams down my cheek.

It was cloudy and the hue was gray. I couldn't stand the humidity that plagued the city.

Too long have my eyes been closed
So many years have passed in vain
I couldn't let the road ahead get any worse

I'm no longer a victim of your taint

Though I regret the pain I allowed myself to sustain

Mirrors don't snare / Family doesn't glare
This hope I bear / I've made it here

Cleansed my spirit away / Allowed scars to fade
Embraced the change / Unlocked the cage

The nightmares refuse to reimmerse

I am a prisoner no more

My pain was the martyr to end the war

I am not that victimized child who existed before

My resolve is my desired future which I now fight for

Impossible outcomes
Are only chosen

Paths outrun
Hurt worth sparing

Shining sun
Always an opening

I know what's right / To protect my life
I'll reach for the light / To shine so bright

There's no limit to the sky / A smile never felt so fine
Never thought it'd be mine / I'll take it as a sign

Wounds healing
Time will pass

Words forgiven
Memories like sand

Reasons reuniting
Now I stand

I rose above the destruction

I became my own guardian

I have created my own salvation

I, the sheltered child who started to tragically fall from your grace

Into the void of this sudden loneliness
Realizing I followed every single one of your steps
But yet, I failed to hold onto those uplifting moments

Now I feel as if maybe I had forced you to make every one of those promises
That   which   you   still   kept

So I don't want to sound dishonest, but out of us, you are the strongest
You   make   sure   to   protect

To you, everyone, and everything is dearest
None   lef

I wore this pain like a crown / I was so broken
I kept on falling down / I felt my soul shattering

I couldn't hear anything / listening to my own twisted thoughts

My countless nightmares wouldn't fade / I was left in this dark world alone

I guess this is how I really pictured my own end
I just want it to finally be over with, I won't resent death
