I'm a writer who combines literature with graphic design. So therefore you will see the majority of my deviations with cover art. To manipulate and also create I use Photoshop CS5. I know my method of show casing my artwork is a touchy one. A lot of people on DA just save something from google and attach with with their work without any permission or consideration of the owner. A lot of viewers assume that I do the same, but I don't and I hate being put in the same category with those type of deviants. I am merely using everything in my arsenal to upload worthy material for users to read and admire.

I have been graphic designing since 2006, and I have been writing since December 2007. I self-published my own 40 page poetry book in the summer or 2009. It is titled "Living My Life, Behind Hollowed Eyes" it was surprisingly successful. All copies got taken within two hours. I didn't sell them, I just announced that I had a book printed out and whoever wants one can have it for free. In my eyes if the books didn't get taken, then it would have been a failure.

Present day- I am working on multiple book projects to do with poetry. My second project got started in 2010, which is titled "Broken Wings Unbound: I'm Falling Down, I'm Soaring Now" and it has undergone numerous changes to match my ever-evolving style of writing.
My third project which got started in late 2011 is titled- "The Other Side Of The Sky" and it's more concentrated on positive aspects of life, whereas my other projects are mainly dark.
My fourth project which got started in early 2012 is titled "The Prodigy's Suicide" it's a more raw type of poetry. Dealing with a touchy subject and the elements within it. I started the fourth one when I first started going into therapy, so therapy is what this project was birthed.
My fifth project, which is mainly new, is because of ceasing therapy, it got started in October of 2012. It is titled "Skin of Stone" it is what I like to call my improv style of writing. Writing a piece within one writing session, beginning to end, in one shot.

___________________________________________________________________

I went on a mini road trip out of town last month. We went to this place called "Coombs" it was my first time there. I thought it was a creepy lookin' place at first :P because it was like one of those towns that had a "secret" or something to hide. It's a cute little place. The people that reside there seem really friendly, so I give them credit for that. I told my friends "That was the first time I didn't get followed around in the store!"

Where I live, if you're not up to par- there is a high chance you'll get followed around stores, just to make sure you don't steal anything.

We went to this market-type place, and in the center of it was this statue exhibit. I'm going to take a guess and say there was about 20 statues in one big square. The statues mostly consisted of animals. I thought that was really awesome. I got my picture taken with a bear and lion statue.

Anyway, I could drone on and on about Coombs, but I won't. I'll get straight to the main point of the journal.
After we left the market, we went to this hiking area. I think the place is called Englishman River Falls.

At first, I was excited to take some pictures here and there. I was taking pictures of my friends that I went with, and afterwords, they all went on ahead. I was facing away from the waterfall, and I kind of had this realization of a concept I've had in my head for a long time.

The noise of the falls was so loud now that I was alone. I turned around and gazed at the waterfall for a moment and then closed my eyes and concentrated on the roaring water. It was blaring. I thought to myself
"This is what it was like...back then..."

And I imagined what I really meant, because sometimes I tend to cover up what my past was like. I put myself back in those same shoes all those years ago. I was reliving the day after day and night after night life. I re-experienced the silence. The fear resurfaced, and the darkness came crashing down.

It's like you're waiting....waiting for something to come and knock you down one last time....it's like....you want to me knocked down....for a final time.

"This is....almost how loud it was in my head..."
_____________________________________________________________

Think of this concept along with me.
You're in front of a towering wall ( like a dam ), and the body of water that resides behind it represents all your fears and pain and problems. You can't call out for help no matter how loud you scream. The noise of the waterfall cancels out your voice. There's no where to go, you can only stand still in front of this intimidating monster that you've created.

Little by little, these little holes form in the wall that let out little streams of water. You think that maybe the wall is about to come crumbling down and all of that pain and all of those fears and problems along with it.

"The Obliteration"

Washed away by all of those memories that remain unknown to your friends and family. The force was powerful enough to reduce you to nothing. Sometimes the wall that we protect ourselves wears thin, and sometimes the wall is destroyed in an instant. That what we protected ourselves from can finally do it's sole duty.

______________________________________________________________

The Obliteration is a poem I'm planning on writing sometime down the road. I hope to visit Coombs again. I also hope to go to the Englishman River Falls again, too. That deja vu moment was really eye opening for me.

I couldn't....stay strong....forever
The walls came down and....I was devoured by...water
